At a glance

Problem — A top-of-the-line EEG product whose visual communication didn’t match it.

What I did — Led the rebrand: logo, website and packaging, plus 3D renders and a team photoshoot.

Result — Monthly site users +200%, sessions +227%, and the company’s first sales made entirely online.

01 — The problem

A premium product that didn’t look premium

mBrainTrain builds EEG hardware and software for brain research. As it expanded into new markets, an audit of its online and offline presence showed the visuals lagged behind the product.

Why it mattered — The company was growing into new markets, and a top-of-the-line product needed design and visual communication to match.

02 — Key decisions

The audit set the scope: a new website alone wouldn’t fix it, so the work covered logo, website and packaging.

Show the hardware precisely

I art-directed accurate, eye-catching 3D renders of the cap and EEG device with a 3D artist.

Put the team on the page

I organised a photoshoot to present the people behind the product.

Pastel over clinical

A pastel palette gave the website a premium look that matches the product.

03 — The solution

A brand, renders and website that match the hardware

The new website: the SMARTING product page (left) and the company page with team and partners (right).
